Lifeguard is a comprehensive back up and recovery product designed for consumers of any technical ability. With Lifeguard, customers can back up, compress and encrypt data in the same amount of time it would normally take just to copy files, and Lifeguard introduces a "document-centric interface" that even technology novices will find easy to use. FEATURES -Includes a disaster recovery feature that enables users to overcome even the worst crashes. -Supports a wide array of media: CD-ROMs, DVDs, FTP, removable drives (Zip disks, flash memory, etc...). Lifeguard also supports the most recent hardware standards, allowing it to burn or transfer data at the hardware's maximum speed. -Includes an extensive and powerful scheduler so customers can back up and forget it; for example, users can set their computers to back up once a month, or every Tuesday at midnight. -Ships with its own network backup server. -Supports content-sensitive filtering. With Lifeguard, customers can exclude files based on their size, date, name and even their content; for example, documents can be filtered by author; e-mails can be filtered by subject; and music files can be filtered by album name. -Offers an Internet backup service. Customers can, for a monthly fee, back up their data to Tenebril's secure servers over the Internet. -Integrates with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora to allow direct backup of e-mails and address book contacts.
